Nigel and Zoe's Pre-Wedding Shoot

We had a fascinating and fun afternoon with Nigel and Zoe, firstly at their chosen wedding venue - 'George Vaults' in Rochester, Kent, followed by a short walk, for informal shots, into Rochester Castle Gardens and these Gardens also overlook Rochester Cathedral.

Given that the George Vaults are from around the 13th Century, and the Castle and Cathedral from around the 11th Century, we certainly had an historical appreciation trip.

The Vaults are, as the name suggests, below ground level and are lit by candlelight. A beautiful location with the challenge of low lighting - lots of use of flash and a video light.

The Castle gardens were reasonably quiet although there was another wedding photographer there doing her group shots. I am sure that on the actual wedding day of the 3rd August, a Saturday, it will be much busier.

A lovely afternoon, from candlelight to full sun with hardly a cloud in the sky, with a lovely couple who took naturally to the camera - all bodes well for their wedding day.

Here are some shots from the day:-

Simon and Danielle's Pre-Wedding shoot

What a lovely, different day. It is not everyday that we are asked to photograph somebody with their horse but today was the day. Danielle is a keen and accomplished rider and she wanted some shots of her riding her young stallion - we were happy to oblige.

Following those shots we took off to their wedding venue at St Augustine's Priory at Bilsington near Romney Marsh. An absolutely fabulous wedding venue situated in beautiful countryside - a beautifully maintained 14th Century property.

We had to do this shoot earlier than normal because of Simon's work, finding time for him to do a shoot during the summer months is not easy. We now have to wait until September before we meet them again and visit the Priory for their wedding. Can't wait!!

Here are a few images from the day, a wonderfully warm and sunny day - just for a change!

And for a fun image to reflect Danielle's love of horses Anna has created a blend of two images to give Danielle the benefit of a 'dream' ride! The background is the Mawddach Peninsula in the Snowdonia National Park.

A lovely day with a lovely couple and their delightful daughter Hemmi - not forgetting their super, and friendly, horses.

John and Clare's Wedding

What a wonderful fun packed day this was. It started off with 'the boys' arriving at Church in a towed horsebox! There was much mooing, neighing and stamping of feet (hooves?) as it arrived at the pathway leading to the Church. Also adjacent to this pathway is a Pub and it caused much hilarity when four stomping stallions - erm Groomsmen - alighted from the box. Notwithstanding that a Sainsbury's delivery lorry was stopped nearby waiting for the traffic to clear and the slogan on the side of the van said '...Quality... delivered straight to your door' Timing was perfect.

There were many other fun moments during the day - John has a great sense of humour and is always laughing whilst Clare had a great time on the Bouncy Castle in her wedding dress!

We had a super day and we enjoyed the company of their families.

It all continued on the next day with a Hog Roast at their farm. Great fun and great taste!

Here are a few images from their wedding:-
