Tobias and Gemma's Wedding

We had a wonderful day in the company of this lovely couple and we were privileged to capture the day on camera. The wedding was held at St Augustine's in Westgate on Sea.

On this occasion we were accompanied by another photographer, Sam Sankadecha, who is keen to learn the art of wedding photography. We were pleased to have him along and he made us think about what we were doing - all to the good!

Here are a few images from the day:-

Andrew and Laura's Pre-Wedding Shoot

We had the pleasure of a Pre-Shoot with this lovely couple at the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral just the day before the security arrangements for the Inauguration of Archbishop Welby took effect.  The BBC, however, had already been busy laying all the cabling etc in readiness to beam the ceremony around the World.

The Cathedral is one of my favourite locations - I have visited on many occasions to photograph the interior, never ceasing to be amazed by the architecture and workmanship of 8/900 years ago.

Again another cold and wet day so we utilised the Auditorium at the Cathedral Lodge Hotel to capture the Pre- shoot ( they will holding their Reception here) We had some luck later in that the rain stopped and we were able to capture some images in the Hotel and Cathedral gardens.

Can't wait for the wedding day in late April - hopefully, some good weather, Spring flowers set against the magnificent backdrop of the Cathedral - a photographers dream!

Some images from this shoot, including a shot of the interior at St Dunstan's Church, Canterbury where they are to marry. The link identifies some historical associations with the Church.

Tobias and Gemma's Pre-Wedding Shoot

St Augustine's  was the location for our shoot with Tobias and Gemma. Situated
in Westgate on Sea it is very local for us all. It has a lovely Chapel and a Gazebo so has the facilities for weddings in all weathers - so useful given our current climate patterns!

We were able to plan our shots for their wedding in April - in fact on my birthday (the things committed photographers do!) Hopefully, we will be able to use the Gazebo if we can organise the weather. The garden also has a large Magnolia tree and I am hoping that the recent cold spell will not have 'knocked back' it's flowering which would normally be due around the time of their wedding.

We were accompanied by their two lovely children on the day and Eban is looking forward to wearing a suit as a responsible Groomsman on the big day.

Here are a couple of shots from the day - needless to say we were destined to shoot indoors because of the weather!

The Chapel above is beautiful and I can't wait to see it lit in the evening for the Wedding as I understand that there is some selective red lighting!
